Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ

1) When do I pay?

All classes are pauid for the month at the beginning of the month (in advance). Remember if you miss a lesson, or you are going to miss a lesson, see 4) below.

2) Can I make a monthly Direct Debit arrangement with my bank?

Yes, it`s easier. Just contact your bank and give them our details which are: Easy English Aberdeen Ltd, sort code: 30-25-82, Account number 00635702, or simply pay by internet banking. Remember to let us know that`s what you`re doing!

3) What is the Refund Policy of the school?

Refunds will only be made in event of a permanent cancellation of a class, in the event of it not being possible to relocate students to another class at the same level.

4) What can I do if I miss a lesson?

Normally  your teacher will make time for you to catch up on another day, send you missed homework or arrange for you to visit another class. Don`t miss your lesson unnecessarily!

5) Do I still have to pay if I`m going away for more than 3 weeks?

No if you arrange to have a `holiday payment break`, which is normally a month. This must be arranged before your holiday starts or as soon as you know. Talk about it with your teacher or send the school an e-mail or text.

6) Can I get any discounts?

Yes you can! If you recommend a student to school, who then goes on study with us for at least three months, you get one week`s lesson free. If you pay two month in advance, you receive ?5 off the price, and if you pay 3 months in advance you receive ?10 off the price.

For private lessons, if you pay for 10weeks in advance you get 10% discount.

7) What if I change my phone number, adress or e-mail?

Please let us know! We need to be able to contact you if we have to cancel a class- if the teacher is ill, or if the weather is bad. You won`t be charged for that lesson!

8) How can I keep in tougch?

We now have a profile on Nasza-Klasa so do put your photos and news on. We will e-mail you as often as we can to give you your practise in English, and if you are a Polish learner, it`s good practise for your Polish too! Our own website always carries the latest news and information about courses as well as gallery. Why not send us your photos so we can put them up for everyone to see?

9) What if only one student turns up?

The class will run, but the tutor will teach for one hour only, on one-to-one basis (normally 25 pounds). If two students turn up, the class will run as normal.

10) Where do I get my class book from?

We order your course book(s) for you, and, in addition, we can arrange to get any other books you need, for instance, a dictionary, an extra grammar book or other reference material. Just let Anthea know, as often the school is charged less than the price you have to pay in the shops.

11) Do I get a certificate when I pass into a new level?

Yes, before you go to a higher class, your tutor will give you an end-of-course test and if you pass, you will receive a certificate confirming your present level.

12) What if I decide to leave the school? (Frown)

If there`s a problem, we hope you find time to discuss it with us before you take a decision to leave. Alternatively, if you feel we`ve taken your learning as far as you want to go, please let us know as soon as possible-phone, text, e-mail- even face to face! This will prevent us charging you more lessons that you want, and it will allow another student to take your place in class. Also we need to take your details off our records, so you dont receive unwanted phone calls or e-mails from the office. (Smile)

13) Also...

Tutors from the school will arrange private or specialist lassons Through the school only. It`s against school policy for a tutor to solicit money from students for classes ant teaching or translation done outside the school premises.

14) Finally...

Wi will not tolerate any language or behaviour that could be seen to be abusive, bigoted or racist in any way. Easy English Aberdeen Ltd reserves the right to expel any student in contravertion of this rule.

(We never had to do this, hope we never will, but we have to say it anyway!)

Please let us know if you have any queries at any time- we value your opinions and welcome your feedback.

Best wishes from everyone at Easy English Aberdeen!
