New Proficiency course follows first birthday!

Easy English Aberdeen celebrated their first birthday in style this week by launching the first Proficiency course in the region. One of the highest levels of English courses that can be examined, students (of English as a foreign language) are coming in from property solicitors, energy companies as well as a microbiologist!. Seeking to perfect their English, these committed students are determined to enjoy life to the full in the Grampians and believe building on their language skills is a great way of moving forward.

Erica Wallace, a director of Easy English Aberdeen comments ?we are so pleased with this latest course, both in the standard of students and in the response from across the region ? one student regularly comes from Peterhead to attend classes. The course can only go from strength to strength, mind you before we know it, we might have to offer classes in Doric as they are getting so good!?

Editor`s notes

  1. Easy English Aberdeen was set up in September 2006 by Aberdonians; Margaret Morrison, Anthea Robertson and Erica Wallace to cater for the increasing need for excellent language skills required by foreign nationals and European members coming to stay or live in the Grampian region.
  2. Classes include English as a Foreign Language, (EFL) from beginners to Proficiency, and Polish for Aberdonians. Students can study both during the day and in the evenings.
  3. Currently there are over 100 students registered and a growing outreach programme for employers to have classes in the workplace. Plans for new languages and classes to be added to the curriculum are developing as demands for language skills in the Aberdeen region are constantly being assessed.
